Sensitivity to hot and cold is common following porcelain veneer placement and should subside within a few days.

Caring for Your Porcelain Veneers
The porcelain used in dentistry is extremely durable; however, we recommend that you avoid chewing ice and hard candy to prevent breakage. Otherwise, brush and floss regularly and visit Dr. Wilmore for regular exams and cleanings, and your porcelain veneers can last for ten years or longer. Porcelain veneers will not stain like natural tooth enamel, so whitening will not be an issue.
